Scott & White Clinic - Westfield at 7556 Honeysuckle, Temple, Texas.

No problem with doctor or staff, just the Scott & White billing department. I had a single visit for annual physical. Doctor did pap and wanted fasting blood work done. Their billing department billed Anthem Blue Cross as outpatient lab work and they refused to pay stating that it wasn't preventative per the ACA. Had several calls between Anthem and Scott & White. Cindy at Scott & White billing agreed that yes the lab is at the same location as the doctor's office but their policy is to never bill the lab work as doctor's office visit. Given that the lab work runs more than a checkup and I am unable to work at this time to cover this out of pocket I have no choice but to refrain from visiting this office or recommending then to any family, friends or neighbors. I would certainly stay away from having any preventive care done here.
